I am limited to my knowledge on animals behavior signals. It's hard to tell when they feel a certain way and I hope to change my knowledge. Make the behavior signals one of my focus for my last weeks at my internships.

My challenge is reading body language on animals. When they are nervous or uncomfortable or when they are going to bite. So I always as questions to my mentor so that I don't get hurt. So one thing I learn about dogs is that when they lick their lips or yawn then that means that they are uncomfortable with the certain situation. That means leave them alone until they feel safe. Also when a dog doesn't know you, you can't just go pet it. You have to let the dog come to you and let them see if you are a friend.
I comment on Jerry, Jackie, and Gisselle. Jerry: It is awesome that you are making a movie and I get me a copy of it so I can see it. We don't have much in common because you work with computers and I work with animals. When can I watch your movie? Jackie: I hope you are able to get the innocent out for jail or prison and that is a kind of the people and their families. We are both helping someone or something get a better life. I wonder if you are going to pursue this in college? Gisselle: You are having lots of fun with kids and showing them new things. Kids and dogs are hard to handle because they have so much energy. I hope you can teach me how to make a crunch wrap supreme? Today I carry about 20,000 pounds of cat litter and rabbit litter. Over the course of my internship so far, I have learned the different body languages of dogs and cats. Knowing not to touch a dog or when a dog fight is about to happen. Also knowing not to play with a kitten with your fingers. Those simple things that will help you later in life if you have a pet.
Video 1 Video 2 At my Internship, my work environment is just everyone always talking. You are always talking to someone and you are never alone. Unless you talk to the dog them you are just weird. Everyone just does well with each other.
A special me and lotus which she is the dog in the picture. She won't go back in her kennel unless I go first. When she is outside she always next-next to me. I have been getting used my shifts and my job with cats and dogs. So I still haven't figure out what my project is, but I am thinking about making a brochure or panflute for a pet to show to the public. A special for the china dogs because they need a little more information about them since they are from America.
This picture is hard to see, but it's showing what we give the dogs for breakfast. It's dog food with hot water and canned dog food/wet food. The animals really benefit at the shelter because we are able to prove the essential and more for their well being and being adopted. So come from China, they were going to be used as meat for people in china to eat. We even have dogs even from Korea. Moving to the community, the picture on the left is a bunny is part of this program PST. I forgot what the P and S stand but T stands for theory. We take these small pets like rats bunnies and guinea pigs out to elderly homes and let them interact with animals. Also which would seem obvious is that our community will have pets to love at home. People, in general, have the joy of having pets in there lives and the animal care staff get to see them live a better life than before.Today I was with Cara, her education path was getting a master in environmental science. Then she moved to working with the bigs cats and studying them. She learn how the people in that line of work tracked them. They use dogs, so she moving on to getting a master in zoology. Cara has taken a break from school and gone to help at the San Diego Humane Society.
Behind me is Freddie, I try to get a picture, but he wouldn't stop licking my hair. Martha is the one on the right in the second picture. She will be my mentor for this week. It was that the animals (Cats) really like me when I have only been there for a couple of days. They like it when I pet them. Also, play with the cat's toys. This is a Kitten named Zorro.
If you can't see what its says then, I well type it out. It says, "To promote the humane treatment of animals, prevent cruelty to animals and provide education to enhance the human-animal bond."
