I am thinking to do something in college that revolves around animals. I am not sure what, but animals are in the big picture. I haven't found any colleges that I might interested in yet.

I am thankful for just having the experience. Working with the animals and learning new thing about body languages and other characteristics. MY mentors were awesome in teaching how to read body languages.
I see that most people can real the body languages of dogs and cats, which will save from a bite. This is a great characteristic that I have seen and want. To use on pets that I know or other people pets. Since I want to study something that has to do with animals, I have to learn how they react to me and others. I am doing my presentation on a tour so that my sophomores can get the real feel of my internship. Showing them each section of what I work and showing them where I work on. So if they have questions that I can't answer or more in depth my mentors can I help answer it.
iPOL presentation Here at the humane society, we take communication seriously because we need to know what the different animals like to eat, toys they like to play with, what kind of beds they like sleeping on. We need to know this information to pass it on to the next person that takes care of the section. Communication at any shelter is key.
My project is adding more to the DIY packet. This packet gives the community a chance to brighten an animals day even more. So I wanted to add more and to give a bigger variety to the community. For my project in Joanne I had to help someone and it came across that the San Diego Humane Society Had DIY packet. From then on I have been trying to find easy ways to make old items useful once again. This just require lots of research, so we can simple toys. I will have hated to make people do something crazy. I have learn bonding with animals that they like different things and so the more we add the more they have fun.
It is really different from school because I take care off my self at school and at work I take care of animals. I am always busy hear at work and I am always standing, but at school most of the time I am busy and sit all day. I work from 7 am to 4 pm but school is 8:25 am to 3:25 pm. I am so tired when I get home because at internship the work is physical and at school, it's not. I am thinking about having a career with animals and learning so much about them. I have realized that one key thing is signals from animals cause that will save you from getting injury. I have heard that I have spoiled them because I do all the heavy lifting and that they can boss someone around. Even the animals love me and I bring joy to them when I give them treats. I am limited to my knowledge on animals behavior signals. It's hard to tell when they feel a certain way and I hope to change my knowledge. Make the behavior signals one of my focus for my last weeks at my internships.
My challenge is reading body language on animals. When they are nervous or uncomfortable or when they are going to bite. So I always as questions to my mentor so that I don't get hurt. So one thing I learn about dogs is that when they lick their lips or yawn then that means that they are uncomfortable with the certain situation. That means leave them alone until they feel safe. Also when a dog doesn't know you, you can't just go pet it. You have to let the dog come to you and let them see if you are a friend.
