October Sky:
Project Overview: The October Sky project, was a project where we test our abilities to build a bottle rocket. We were in a pair of three's to complete the task which took about 4 to 6 weeks. We had to make a company name and had project number 551, our company name was the Hindenburg. This time we had a budget of 1.5 million to spend and build our rocket. My group spend about 951,500 $ on supplies. We even had to pay for water which was rocket fuel. We had launch it 3 times and that show us how are rocket made a high altitude.
Reflection: This project was fun using fake money to build a bottle rocket. Working with my group mated to build a rocket that will get the highest altitude. I have learn about how the calculate the altitude of my rocket to see the distance it had travel in the air.
San Diego Through the Lens Project Reflection: I learn a lot about geometry of triangles. I learn all three postulates Angle Angle, Side Angle Side, and Angle Side Angle. During this time I was frustrated because my picture were turning out bad all the time. I had to keep fixing and fixing my pinhole camera. I final got a picture of myself after so many trail and error. I had fun learning the math behind the self portrait triangles. I like how my picture turn out. What I would do differently is pay attention to what is wrong with my camera instead of wasting film to see if it will work.
