What I Did to Defend My friend in 8th Grade
When they started to tease him I would say, “Back the f*** off and get out of here!” They would just scowl at me and walk away. The only time they teased him was when I wasn’t there at school. That was when he got hurt emotionally and physically. When the group started to get smaller, the confrontations got more physical, fist to fist instead of words to words.
“Why do you want to bully him so much?” I asked.
“Why not? He is stupid and needs other people to defend him, like you,” the group answered.
“He is smarter than you so just get the f*** out of here and no one has to get hurt, ok? People kill themselves because of bullies,” I replied.
“And what are you going to do about it?” the group responded.
“Well, I will bully you the same way you bully my friend Dylan, are you going to be ok with that little babies? Go to lunch and leave us alone or I will kick your a**. Is that what you guys want that? I sure would like to give you a can of whoop a** or would you rather have a mouth full of blood? It’s your choice.”
“Let’s go,” the group angrily responded.
The fight started between four 7th graders and me. Before me I threw a punch took off my glasses so they wouldn’t break during the fight. I threw the first punch on the first I guy that came towards me. One down three to go. The next came in the pair of two. The first one swung and missed an the other swung and got me in the face. I fell back and got up quickly because they were trying to tackle me. I was able to hit one in the chest, but I forgot about the other kid and he slammed me into the bush. He got up, and started punching me then I finally dodged one and got him off of me so I can get up and finish him. This was between me and the last person in the group, suppose the person who started the group. We are going back and forth hitting each other and tackling each other. Until one hit decided it all. I dodge then I block and gave him a good upper cut in the chin to make him leave at the same time crying. I will tell what started this all.
In my early life in 8th Grade at Correia Middle School, I was defending my friend from lots of bullies. He was just a bully magnet, it was easy for the bullies because he couldn’t protect himself. He was so little that he couldn’t fight because he was weak and didn’t know what to say when they teased him. I wasn’t his friend until I had remembered that he was on my soccer team, and I became his guardian against bullies. He had a group of twelve to fifteen people when I wasn’t his friend. Every lunch I rush to get a stop . On the way their I see my friend Dylan getting bully, but I had to get through the crowd of people to get to room 404. When I got there he just got out of class and he was already getting shoved. I shoved them back so Dylan could get out of there. I would shove about 4 people at the time because they were in his class. So they immediately started to bully him. So that was my life in eighth grade. I had to always protect him from bullies. Not always but it was the choice that I made and I stuck to it. This was the process of school 4 in the morning, 4 in the afternoon, and 4 after school. This means the number of bullies of each part of the school day. The more I had intervened their bully target, the less they want to get near Dylan again. Then later in the year the group started to get smaller and smaller. That had made my life a lot easier. My grades were ok, but not my best. Helping Dylan was a stress on my education because I always want to help friends and he was succor for some and I took the challenge. Well I had passed my goal. Then my pain on back had gone down to where I can stand up straight in class and at home.
I told Dylan, “I won’t be there all the time this year you were lucky that I was there to help you in your time of need. This is the only time I could do this for you and I will be going to high school and you need to learn how to defend yourself so this won’t happen to you again. You need to start working out, so you can get some muscle in your weak body so people will second guess you as some weak little baby.”
Dylan answer back,”Ok.”
The Scarlet Ibis
I got a 76% 46/60. I didn't do some of the requirements. An example would be not embedding the quotes right. Still using past tense and using personal pronouns. My goal is to be able to have better writing skills. I want to have my sentences flow right or to make sense.
I have improve more in my writing skills, but still needs a lot of work. I didn't try to improve as much as I should of. I did try little harder to make my sentences make sense and flow. I hope to get better in my writing skills because it will help me later in life. I also here that Ross class is really hard. I also want to get better so when my peers critique my work they won't laugh at me. This pictures shows how I usual have a lot of mistakes and most of it doesn't make sense. The picture below it is how much I have improve from picture 1 to picture 2.
